The Gastro-Intestinal Task Force Asia Pacific (GITAP) Society takes online privacy and security concerns seriously, as well as privacy for all of our members and associate members. Below, you will find information about our forum usage policy.
Forum Registration
Personal information for forum users including email addresses and telephone numbers, will not be released to any unauthorised third parties. All registered forum users may receive notices (email and mobile phone blast) on upcoming events, meeting workshops and/or congresses from time to time. Registered parties will also receive reminders on membership fees or any other membership matters (if applicable).
Forum Contact List
The GITAP Society forum contains a contact list of its registered users. Users must refrain from sharing this contact list and personal credentials of other users with other organisations or any other party who is not affiliated with or part of this society.
Inappropriate Use of Forum
The GITAP Society will not tolerate any form of harassment, inappropriate use of contact information, use of inappropriate language, graphic material that is deemed offensive and unprofessional. Any form of spam, unauthorised sale of items, products or services is strictly prohibited. The GITAP Society reserved the rights to take appropriate actions on offensive or unprofessional postings and comments and/or including the termination of membership and deactivation of forum access if found to have violated the term of use policy.
Code Of Conduct
The GITAP Society is not responsible for any opinions, comments or interpretation in discussions made by any individual. Users are urged to apply own professional judgement to the subject matter in relations to its application/practice in your respective country and institution. Users with conflicting opinions are advised to refrain from making offensive remarks/personal attacks against others who do not share similar opinion/practices. The GITAP Society reserves the right to deactivate a user’s access to the forum should such situation arises.

The GITAP Society uses the information from your registration to track your membership subscription to forum, provide you with upcoming activities and events; administer any user accounts we set up for you; conduct surveys and process your response to any survey in which you participate; ensure that content from our site is presented in the most effective manner for you.

Except as set forth in this Policy, the GITAP Society will not disclose any of your personally identifiable information to other unauthorised 3rd parties. We may share information with trusted service providers and suppliers who are working under a contractual relationship to assist us with our programs and operations. The GITAP Society will never rent, trade, or sell your e-mail address to a 3rd party.

The accuracy of your individual information is important to the GITAP Society. We will abide by requests to have personally identifiable information deleted from our records, except in cases where retention of that information may be required by law (such as records of payment for which you may made).

Our online forms are always encrypted and our network is protected and routinely monitored. We use secured online payment gateway systems in accordance to industry standards. The Gastro-Intestinal Task Force Asia Pacific (GITAP) Society does not store your credit card information.
